Lee and Becky Sherry
Lee Sherry was pastoring in Herrin, Illinois, when God used a young Australian to show the Sherrys that it was His will for them to go to Australia as missionaries. The Foreign Missions Board confirmed this call by appointing the Sherrys in October 1967. While in Australia, the Sherrys founded a church, organized a local Bible school, evangelized through various outreach programs, and filled national offices. After 20-some years in Australia, the Sherrys transferred to the South Pacific islands. For a while they resided in Fiji where he superintended the Fijian church and directed the Bible school. Lee Sherry is now the field superintendent of the UPC in Vanuatu and the official UPCI representative to New Caledonia. Operating the Ni-Vanuatu Bible college and ministerial training top the priorities for this wellseasoned missionary couple.
